After completing his Masters in Construction Management at the University of Texas at Arlington, he embarked on a career that would ultimately lead him to the helm of his own firm.
Upon graduation, Yaswanth worked as a Field Engineer on a prestigious 40-floor high-rise twin towers project in Downtown Dallas. This experience not only honed his technical skills but also instilled in him the ambition to take on greater challenges. Soon after, he joined G.K. Steel, LLC, where he managed over 40 projects, showcasing his ability to lead and innovate in the construction industry.
However, the call of family and a dream to start his own firm beckoned Yaswanth back to his native India. He joined CBRE, a multinational company, as a Project Manager for Commercial & Office Interior Projects. Here, he worked with tech giants like Capgemini, Hyundai Mobis, Samsung, and J.P. Morgan Chase. This stint provided him with valuable insights into the intricate world of interior fit-outs and design.
The Birth of My Nest Interiors & Constructions
It was during his time at CBRE that Yaswanth’s dream to start his own firm took shape. On December 25th, 2019, he took the bold step of resigning from his position and founded “My Nest Interiors & Constructions.” The name was chosen by his father, and his mother, a famous music teacher, and his wife played pivotal roles in supporting and promoting the new venture.
Defining the Business
My Nest Interiors & Constructions officially began its journey in January 2020, with its headquarters in Hyderabad’s prime location. From the very beginning, the company aimed to stand out by offering a wide range of services. They undertook diverse projects, from house constructions to interior design, pre-fab structures to apartments, and office interiors to commercial spaces.
The impact on society was clear – the company’s commitment to delivering modernized and unique designs at market-competitive prices caught the attention of clients and spectators alike. Yaswanth proudly shared, “No matter how small the project we take up, we still make it look unique and standout in the client’s community.”
The company’s specialization in translucent panel designs was a game-changer. By achieving backlit surfaces as low as 500 INR/Sq.ft., My Nest Interiors & Constructions addressed the problem of expensive backlit surfaces and reduced installation timelines, carving a niche for itself in the industry.

Yaswanth’s entrepreneurial journey faced its most significant challenge in the form of the COVID-19 pandemic. Starting his venture in January 2020, he had to navigate the uncertainties and disruptions caused by the global health crisis. He shared, “2020 was a nightmare year for most entrepreneurs, but it made me stronger. I was persistent in my dream, and I came back stronger from 2021.” This experience taught him the importance of unwavering commitment and flexibility in the face of adversity.
