Creating A Safe Haven For Toddlers To Dream And Learn

Toddlers are the little wonders of this world who need the best environment to have a playful learning experience. Mrs Avani C. Maun offers the best learning platform to the toddlers so that learning can become a joyous experience for them. An MSc in Home Science with specialisation in Human Development from SNDT University, Mrs Avani C. Maun is the founder of the renowned pre-school Blooming Buds, Gujarat. Her love for children and teaching helped her in making a primary school which would help the toddlers in learning the basics in a fun way.

“Children learn from adults. If you read a book in front of a toddler, he would be curious and would copy you. But if you are operating your mobile phone, then the child will get curious about the gadget and start operating it.”

Educating toddlers is a difficult thing as one has to start from the basics and even has to become a friend and a guide at the same time. Mrs Maun had the skills of becoming a guide as well as a friend with the kids, which helped her in teaching them new things. Her motivation to start a primary school came from her interest in early childhood education, which helped her in setting up this school.

But her journey was was full of difficulties. Despite her passion for teaching, she required a trained staff and this hunt was really very tough. With the flooding of the primary schools, she had to face tough competition in establishing her school that was meant to create a difference in the toddler’s lives.

So how did Mrs Maun help the Blooming Buds in surviving?

“With sheer determination and aim in providing a friendly and playful atmosphere where kids can learn, a person can succeed in making a primary school, a place of quality education.”

Even though there are various primary schools, Blooming Buds has managed to gain the trust of the parents because of it’s friendly and innovative teaching methodologies. Blooming Buds helps in developing motor skills and Gross skills of the kids. Rather than making the student learn alphabets in a classroom, the school aims in allowing the students to play around and learn.

The idea to set up a school in which the children do not have to wear a uniform and learn numbers and alphabets forcefully has made Blooming Buds a safe place where the children can learn in a fun way.

Having knowledge in Human development, Home Science, Mrs Maun knows how a child should be treated and how the skills can be learned. Her knowledge in Home Science has further helped her in establishing this school. The passion for teaching came from her mother, as she always inspired her to keep going ahead in life.
Knowledge increase when shared and Mrs Maun believes in that with all her heart. By sharing her knowledge and educating young toddlers, she is helping the kids in becoming a better person. If you have educated the kids correctly, they can bring a difference in others as well as their own life.
