R Darshan Kumar, a celebrated serial entrepreneur, is an industrialist with a remarkable history of escalating the businesses. The Managing Director of ‘Maxlite AAC blocks’– Darshan, is passionate about the environment and has pioneered the production of high quality-lightweight AAC Blocks in Bangalore. The innovative Chief Architect has leveraged the fly ash, an industrial pollutant in a constructive way to manufacture environment friendly AAC blocks.

Having a heart going out to business in the Real Estate industry, Darshan has always desired to make a significant difference in business through his innovative skills. His passion to make the world green friendly is burning strong and reflects the responsibilities we all share to save the planet. Owing to these thoughts, Darshan incepted ‘Maxlite’ – a source for profitable business and making a remarkable difference in the environment. The young entrepreneur has won many accolades along with getting featured in newspapers, magazines and events.

Crediting his father as his biggest inspiration and role model, who has been an emotional as well as business support to him, Darshan shares gratitude to him for his support during every phase of life. He owes immense regard to his father for aiding him in taking key decisions and enabling him to conquer his fears from a young age. 

“Ever since I started my business venture from engineering, my father has provided me with valuable insights to pioneer my business. I always look up to him for everything I do”, shares the Innovative entrepreneur.

Incepting his company – ‘Maxlite‘ at the age of 25 had been the most critical decision in his life, to which he recalls, “The biggest risk is the start of anything. At that young age, anything you do is a risk, especially starting a company in the construction industry. I needed both the capital and a team to get this off the ground. I am extremely thankful to my 100+ team members for believing in my dream and carrying ‘Maxlite’ forward!”

The foresight and leadership of Mr. Darshan for 5 consecutive years in ‘Maxlite’ has pioneered the company to win numerous prestigious awards incorporating ‘India Leadership Awards’ for ‘Best Innovative Entrepreneur for Green Revolution in Construction Industry’ by Blindwink, Best company’ by the Smart Innovation Hub, India’s Best Emerging Brand, 2018’ by Times Business Awards and ‘Best Brand in Construction & Cement, 2019’ by Times Business.

Realizing a dearth of quality AAC Block Manufacturer in Bangalore, he pitched into the industry with his initial drive of starting a plant inside the city. Following his dream to make a difference in Green Revolution, he tapped into the opportunity by introducing environment friendly blocks into the industry. “We use recycled fly ash, an industry pollutant as a key ingredient for producing the blocks”, shares Darshan, who is a Member of IGBC, 2019 – ‘Indian Green Building Counsel’ and Hall of Fame Mention– ‘Reality+ Magazine’.
