Mumbai, November 2025: VAYU-Design for Living, a space dedicated to the dialogue between art, craft, and contemporary design, presents Transcendent Memories 2.0, a solo exhibition by artist Jenjum Gadi. On view at Art Mumbai 2025 from Thursday, 13 November to Sunday, 16 November 2025, this marks Gadi’s debut at the fair and continues his reflective exploration of memory, transformation, and materiality.
Transcendent Memories 2.0 builds upon Jenjum’s earlier body of work, which began as an intimate dialogue with his mother’s garden, a space where the everyday harvest became a vessel of storytelling through touch, texture, and ritual. What once took form as quiet brass casts etched with delicate motifs now evolves into surfaces animated with sand-like patterns that draw memory into a tactile, almost living realm.
In this new chapter, familiar forms reappear carrying traces of the past, yet they open into new visual and conceptual terrains. The works move beyond recollection to reveal how memory itself transforms, expanding, shifting, and taking on new language through material and form.
“Transcendent Memories 2.0 is not a sequel; it is a rooted evolution. A return that moves forward. Memories that shift, expand, and develop,” notes the artist Jenjum Gadi
With this presentation, VAYU reinforces its commitment to supporting contemporary artistic practices that bridge craft, design, and reflection, offering audiences a contemplative engagement with material memory and transformation.
