For Tanvir Hussain, the passion for creating spaces that inspire began long before he founded Inspire Inside Interior Design in 2015. Tanvir’s fascination with interior design began in his youth, when he found himself captivated by the way spaces could influence feelings and experiences. It was these early influences that ultimately guided him towards a career in interior design.

“I realized that my vision for design was unique, and with God’s blessings, I wanted to bring it to life,” says Tanvir.

This desire to create meaningful, artistic, and functional spaces led him to launch his own firm, Inspire Inside Interior Design. Today, he is grateful to lead a team of 35 professionals, including local craftsmen and artists, who share his commitment to transforming spaces with purpose and creativity.

Founded with the goal of blending elegance and functionality, Inspire Inside is a sole proprietorship firm that has successfully completed over 25 residential projects and a variety of other unique ventures, including designer container homes, music studios, rooftop designs, temples, restaurants, and offices.

Tanvir’s approach to design is centered around human experience. “A meticulously designed space radiates positivity, offering both comfort and growth for the people who inhabit it,” he explains. His firm specializes in human-centered interior design, focusing on understated luxury, architectural precision, and a commitment to creating spaces that reflect the needs and desires of each client.

Starting his own business was not without challenges. “Interior design projects often come with tight deadlines, long hours, and high demands, which led to burnout when I first started,” admits Tanvir. Over time, however, he learned to manage his workload more efficiently. Budget constraints posed another challenge, with some clients seeking luxurious designs on a limited budget. “Balancing creativity with financial limitations was tough but essential for building strong client relationships,” Tanvir reflects.

Despite these hurdles, his love for art and passion for creating functional spaces has always been the driving force that helped him persevere. His ability to connect with clients on a personal level, understanding their psychology and needs, has set him apart in a competitive industry.

Inspire Inside specializes in a wide array of design projects, including high-end and mid-range residential spaces, bungalows, music studios, rooftop designs, and even innovative container homes. What makes Tanvir’s work stand out is his ability to design spaces that are both beautiful and functional, catering to the emotional and practical needs of his clients. “We prioritize functionality, comfort, and emotional resonance. A beautiful design should also improve the quality of life for the people who live or work in it,” he says.

The firm is also evolving with the times, recognizing the rising demand for flexible, adaptable spaces, especially as work-from-home lifestyles become more common. Tanvir sees this as an opportunity to further innovate by designing spaces that seamlessly blend work, leisure, and home life.

The future looks bright for Inspire Inside. Tanvir and his team are focused on meeting the evolving needs of their clients, especially with a growing emphasis on wellness, sustainability, and personalization. “People are more conscious than ever about how their environment affects their health and well-being. We are designing spaces that cater to these changes, integrating eco-friendly materials, energy-efficient lighting, and sustainable practices wherever possible,” says Tanvir.

The firm is also exploring expansion into other major cities, including Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, and Indore, as part of their mission to create high-end, human-centered interior design experiences across India.

For Tanvir, interior design is more than just about aesthetics. It’s about building meaningful relationships with clients. “We emphasize deeply engaging with our clients to understand their needs, preferences, and lifestyle,” he says. This approach ensures that every project feels like an extension of the client’s vision. Over the years, Tanvir has developed lasting relationships with many of his clients, who view him not only as a designer but also as a friend.

One project that stands out is a residential project at Siddha Galaxia, where Tanvir collaborated closely with clients Sourav Das and Anindita Poddar to create a sophisticated design. “The dining table I designed for them, with planters and a hidden bar, was one of a kind,” he says. The project marked the beginning of a strong, lasting relationship that continues to this day.

Another notable project was the transformation of an old ancestral home into a modern villa for client Navin Gupta. “We changed the entire interior civil plan, and the result was beyond their expectations,” says Tanvir. These are just a few examples of how his firm has brought new life to various spaces, always with a focus on personalization and client satisfaction.

As an entrepreneur, Tanvir has learned the importance of managing a team and maintaining a positive work culture. “Teamwork is dream work,” he says. His ability to motivate his team and foster a healthy work environment has been key to the success of Inspire Inside. He credits his ability to communicate effectively and build strong client relationships as central to his success in the industry.
