Dr. Vaagdevi Subrahmanyam is an accomplished architect and interior designer with over half a decade of experience in the field. She graduated from JNAFA University in Hyderabad and has since built an impressive portfolio, completing over 290 projects across nine Indian cities and six countries worldwide. As the founder of SmartVU Creatives Pvt Ltd, a multidisciplinary architecture firm, Vaagdevi brings in-depth design expertise to projects of all types and scales, with a primary focus on residential, hospitality, and commercial spaces.
Vaagdevi’s design philosophy centers on blending functionality, creativity, and soulfulness. She prioritizes delivering exceptional customer experiences and effective project management, grounding her approach in human needs and enhancing people’s well-being through thoughtful, user-centered design. She values honesty, professionalism, and empathy above all, believing that these principles are more important than project value or company valuation. Her passion for great design knows no bounds.

Vaagdevi is also actively involved in design appreciation and education, seeking to elevate the role of architecture in society. She believes that architecture practices have a significant role and responsibility in shaping the world. Her designs aim to unlock the potential of spaces, creating something meaningful from nothing, and leaving places more enriched than before.
