The transformation of London’s Olympia, a landmark exhibition and events center, is nearing completion, marking a significant milestone in the ambitious project led by Heatherwick Studio and SPPARC. The £1.3 billion redevelopment aims to rejuvenate the historic site, combining its Victorian heritage with cutting-edge design to create a vibrant cultural and commercial destination.
A Vision for the Future
The Olympia redevelopment project began with a vision to breathe new life into the 14-acre site, which has been a central part of London’s cultural and business landscape since it first opened in 1886. Over the years, the iconic glass-roofed Grand Hall has hosted everything from trade shows to music performances. However, as London evolved, the need for a more versatile and modernized space became evident.

- A 4,400-Seat Theatre: Operated by Trafalgar Entertainment, this state-of-the-art venue will host a variety of performances, from West End productions to concerts, further solidifying Olympia’s cultural significance.
- Office and Retail Spaces: New office spaces, complete with modern amenities, aim to attract leading companies and startups. Meanwhile, retail units will house a curated selection of shops and dining options.
- A Sky Garden: True to Heatherwick Studio’s signature style, the redevelopment will feature green spaces, including a sky garden offering panoramic views of London.
- Improved Public Realm: Open plazas, pedestrian-friendly pathways, and landscaped areas will make Olympia more accessible and enjoyable for the public.
